This event is part of the Canadian Landmine Awareness Week.

Organized by the Society for Corporate Environmental and Social Responsibility, Mines Action Canada, and the Halifax Peace Coalition.


Phil Duguay is an alumnus of Dalhousie University (BA, History 2005). For the last six months, he has served as a Mines Action Canada Mine Action Capacity Building Officer in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Phil has worked hands on with landmine survivors, facilitating service programs, conducting research on mine use and disability legislation in East Africa, and learning about Mine Action in the Ethiopian context. Phil will speak what is currently being done to
eradicate landmines around the world.
